Curriculum Notes and Homework

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for a fabulous first week back.

Just a reminder that indoor PE is now on a Monday and outdoor PE will remain on a Tuesday.  Please make sure your child has both PE at school at all times.

This week, in Literacy, we will be writing the poem In Flanders Fields with a focus on handwriting. This will be for the school’s display to remember 100 years since the end of the First World War. We will also be learning about prepositions for place, time and cause and planning and writing diary entries as Goldilocks writing about her eventful day when she discovered a small cottage in the woods!

In Maths, 3E will be looking at the perimeter of 2D shapes including measuring perimeters using rulers, tape measures and trundle wheels and on accurately drawing rectangles using a ruler. 3KS will be looking at 3D shapes and their properties.

Maths homework was set on Friday and is due on Wednesday. Please make sure your child learns their spellings which are contractions.

Can you make sure that your child is writing their daily reading into their diary please.

A reminder that individual photographs will be taken on Friday.

Thank you again for your continued support.
