October 4th already – where does the time go when you’re having soooo much fun?

Curriculum:

English – next week the children will be focusing on the expectations of structured narrative and dialogue (how we write a story and language and punctuation of characters talking) – working towards their substitution stories on Wednesday and Thursday.

Maths – 5G Addition and subtraction worded problems

5C – will continue to secure fluency, reasoning and problem solving for addition and begin to move onto subtraction

Homework

English: Parenthetic commas to demarcate clauses

Maths: 5G Negative number maze

5C Comparing and ordering numbers

N.B. As one of our PE foci is hockey, could the children bring in shin guards on Thursdays, plus mouth guards (gum-shields), but only if they have them available.
