The children have had a very exciting week owing to a unicorn being spotted in the school grounds! The children worked really hard to write instructions to trap the creature! Unfortunately, no further sightings have been reported!
Next week, we will be looking at the features of traditional tales and the children will write their own versions.
We will continue with our topic of India and the children will learn about the celebration of Diwali and it’s importance to those of the Hindu faith. They will be creating lots of Diwali inspired art and crafts and will continue with their Indian dancing. Keep your eye on Twitter for photos.
Please encourage your child to read as much as possible at home and remember to return any Bug Club books and comprehensions as soon as possible. Children can swap reading challenge books on Thursday.
We will test children on a selection of this half-term’s spellings and Year 2 common exception words (CEW) before October half-term.
Please keep practising times tables with your child.
Thank you for your continued support and we hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
